Catholic providers among top inclusive employers

Summary

Catholic Health Australia (CHA) congratulated 2 of its member organizations for being named Inclusive Employers for 2024-2025 by the Diversity Council Australia (DCA). CHA Deputy Chair Steve Teulen emphasized that inclusivity is vital for employees and the residents of their aged care facilities, aiming to create workplaces where everyone feels respected and valued. To make the list, organizations must surpass national benchmarks on diversity measures and complete an employee survey assessing inclusion. Both Southern Cross Care and MercyCare highlighted their ongoing efforts to foster diverse and welcoming environments that encourage collaboration and innovation. CHA represents Australia’s largest non-government health and aged care network, covering 63 hospitals and various healthcare services nationwide.
